Khyla was recently awarded 2022 Trailblazer for her work in civil rights by the South Carolina State University National Alumni Association.
The National Bar Association Young Lawyers Division created the Leigh M. Chapman and Khyla D. Craine Social Engineer award to honor young lawyers who exemplify Attorney Craine and Secretary Chapman's career long service to others and the community through our work.
Khyla received the 2019 National Bar Association (NBA) Equal Justice Award, one of the highest awards given by the NBA.
Khyla spoke at Howard University School of Law's 150th Celebration about the Howard Law legacy of civil rights and the work ahead.
Khyla was presented with one of the 2018 National Bar Association Women Lawyers Division's Public Service Award.
Khyla spoke at the University of Denver Water Law Conference about the Flint, Michigan litigation and the need to get involved with Environmental Justice work.
